John Crane Strengthens Middle East Service Capabilities

John Crane announced the opening of its service center in the Petrochemical and Refining centre of Ruwais, an area located 240 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi city, United Arab Emirates.

Through local agents Abu Dhabi Oilfield Services (ADOS), John Crane will establish a mechanical seal service facility with state of the art tooling and test equipment, supported by a dedicated and experienced team.

The additional capabilities will enable John Crane to respond faster to local customer service needs, in an area that has recently seen rapid expansion of existing and new plants within the Refining, Petrochemical, Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), Fertilizer and Nuclear industries.

The facility will allow John Crane to provide the necessary aftermarket support to its customers within the region and to deliver quick turnaround service capabilities with the goal of reducing downtime costs. Capabilities include:

Fully equipped seal workshops: The workshops include Seal Reconditioning and Repair with Root Cause Analysis, Assembly and Testing facilities for standard, engineered and metal bellows cartridge seals and optional bonded stock for contractual repair needs.

Seal Installation and Commissioning Support:  A dedicated Key Account Manager and Sales Engineer will provide expert support for all customer needs.  A service engineer will deliver 24/7 service support, including the provision of plant surveys and reliability improvement support.

Niall Eaglestone, Sales and Service Manager for John Crane Abu Dhabi, said:

“John Crane has a long standing relationship with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) group of businesses and establishing a service center in Ruwais is proof of our commitment to provide world class service and support to our customers. John Donatiello, Vice President of Global End-User Sales and Service for John Crane, said:

“Due to the mission-critical nature of our customers’ operations, they depend on us for a highly responsive service to increase uptime, reduce maintenance costs whenever possible and help them maintain environmentally safe operations.
