The Appomattox hull has arrived at Ingleside, Texas, where host construction is underway with topsides integration with the hull. With subsea fabrication, offshore installation, and the pre-drill campaign also ongoing, the project is on track for first oil by the end of the decade. Once installed, the sizeable host will tower 20 stories above the sea floating in 7400 feet-deep waters, span an area of more than 2 football fields, and weigh more than the world’s largest naval aircraft carrier.
